Having watched countless hours of anime and having become so engrossed in Japanese culture, the decision to learn Japanese seemed like a natural step for me. After my first few days of classes I realized how hard it was for me to remember the hiragana characters and produce a natural sounding Japanese tone. However, I'm still motivated and excited to learn as much as possible and maybe take a trip to Japan and see how well I fare!
I have also been guilty (and proud of) watching countless hours of Japanese anime! I would love to know which ones are your favorite! I definitely can relate to your feelings regarding the challenges of hiragana and Japanese intonations, but I am also excited to overcome this challenge and learn as much Japanese as possible! じゃあ、また！
